Darwin High Students winners at Territory Young Scientists Award
Darwin High students were recognised at the annual Territory Young Scientists Awards at the end of last month.
The Year 10 Centre for Excellence students performed outstandingly congratulations to the following students on receiving awards:
Scientific Communication Video Year 10 – 12 (Individual) 1st Bianca Barrozo, 2nd Samuel Roussos. Scientific Communication Videos Year 10 – 12 (Group) 1st Joey Little and Alex Kurien, 2nd Brandon Ting and Nathan Lee. Nisangi Wijesinghe’s great work for the year was also recognised she took out first place awards for both the Scientific Writing and for a Teacher Directed Inquiry. In addition to this some of our Year 10 students were acknowledged for work completed at Darwin Middle School at the end of Year 9.

Darwin High School Year 10 C4E Students have also won the Rowe Scientific Senior School Award, congratulations to Faiza Choudhury, Imogen Bryett, Faith Wehrmann, Elza Panjikaran, Alanah Hardy and Calista Yeum for winning the Scientific Inquiry Student Directed Award. Congratulations also to Lachlan Anderson, Jude Ugwu, Aden D’Souza, Carl Estella, Skyler Cobban and Jayden Cooper on being awarded second place.
Stage 2 Science moderation has been underway. This term Stage 2 teachers across the school have been preparing samples to be sent to Adelaide for moderation. With so many students it’s a huge task. Good luck to all Stage 2 students who will receive their final results next Tuesday.
