DHS Team Shaved for a Cure

On Friday 19 March Darwin High School held a World's Greatest Shave event at lunchtime in B covered way, fundraising for the Leukaemia Foundation to help beat blood cancer.

This year the event was led by our Student Representative Council and both staff and students participated in shaving or colouring their hair. Special mention to Year 10 Coordinator, Mr. Ergos who allowed students to purchase wax strips and wax his legs (check out our Facebook page for the cringe-worthy video). 

The SRC thanks to everyone who took part, donated, and came down to support the event. They were not only able to achieve their goal of fundraising $500 but we as a whole school community raised over $2300!!! Once again, a massive thank you to all the participants along with everyone that came down to support the event. We look forward to organising many more great events for the school this year!
