DHS Drama @ Brownsmart

DHS Drama @ Brownsmart

This week our Year 10, Stage 1 and Stage 2 drama students visited Browns Mart theatre to see the production of “The 7 Stages of Grieving” by Wesley Enoch and Deborah Mailman.

A woman stands alone on stage. Over one gripping hour, she traces seven phases of Aboriginal history - Dreaming, Invasion, Genocide, Protection, Assimilation, Self- Determination, and Reconciliation. A beloved Australian theatre work by two celebrated Indigenous storytellers.

Tahlia Biggs (picuted above with our students) gave a fantastic performance and students were very impressed by the production. Students were moved by the storytelling, the music and the simple but evocative set.

The students recommend that everyone goes along to see it if they can! On at Browns Mart until March 18.
