English Workshop

English Workshop

Recently, the Year 10 Students of High Performance (SOHP) English class participated in a workshop for the Wordstorm NT Writers’ Festival. The experience was run by L. Egan, a current scriptwriter for Studio 3, who has also worked with Charlie Pickering’s The Weekly as well as The Project.

Students were taught the basics of comical scriptwriting and had the opportunity to watch and re-enact short plays written by L.Egan. The class came together to discuss their ideas, before separating into small groups to create their own personal scripts.

The end results were astounding, from ducks in the toilet to Jesus ordering a pumpkin spice latte, the scripts were humorous and fun to share. The workshop was definitely engaging, a truly great experience that has inspired the students that participated.
