Farewell Ms Ayhuan

Farewell Ms Ayhuan

This week Darwin High School fare-welled Indonesian exchange teacher Ms Emma Ayhuan.

Ms Ayhuan arrived at Darwin High School in June 2017 and worked with Stage 1 and 2 Indonesia language classes and was of great assistance with their exam preparations. She also worked alongside Darwin High School teachers to develop some fantastic learning resources for our students.

Ms Ayhuan participated alongside Darwin High staff and students in the Indonesian Independence Day Concert held by the Indonesian Consulate. She also worked with the schools SIEU (Secondary Intensive English Unit) English teachers to observe teaching methods and techniques and attended numerous excursions and school trips.

Darwin Middle School also benefitted from the exchange, with Ms Ayhuan spending four months helping the middle school students to learn Indonesian and even extended their lessons to include some traditional Indonesian dances and cultural activities.

Darwin High School would like to thank Ms Ayhuan for her time and contribution to the school community and wish her all the best on her return to Ambon.
