Gourmet Breakfast Club

In week 6 the students in Stage 2 Integrated Learning Food Technology hosted a Gourmet Breakfast Cafe in Cafe Ah Toy.
Students had been learning about food safety and safe work practices in a busy commercial kitchen and put their knowledge and skills to the test through this event. They had to choose a breakfast dish to trial and then serve to a lucky teacher of their choice, and Cafe Ah Toy was temporarily turned into a thriving cafe.
Additionally, some of our Coffee Shop students refined their barista skills by making coffee and tea for our staff.
Everyone was really impressed with the dishes the students came up with, and this event was a great opportunity for staff and students to come together over food. A big thanks to everyone involved!
