Healthy Lifestyle Expo 2019

Healthy Lifestyle Expo 2019

On Friday 31 May Darwin High School held its fourth annual Healthly Lifestyle Expo event in the Tank.

Fifty community organisations attended the expo promoting the benefits of leading a healthy lifestyle, and aiming to raise awareness of the key issues that can impact on young people in the Northern Territory.

Staff and students interacted with experts from the health and wellbeing industry and participated in fun activities, including blood alcohol testing, vision goggle mazes, viewing materials under microscopes and operating smokelysers.

Darwin High School Principal, Jill Hazeldine said support for the health and wellbeing of young people is a key focus for the school.

The physical and mental health of our students has a major impact on their academic achievement, particularly as they enter their final years of schooling

Thank you to all the organisations who volunteered their time to participate in the event and to the Office of Youth Affairs for providing financial assistance to make the expo possible.
