Ice Skating Excursion

On Friday 2 September, forty Darwin High School International students and their friends went on an ice skating excursion.
The event was a success, with some students confidently gliding across the ice. For most students, it was their first-time-ever ice skating, they were more cautious and sat and watched their peers on the rink before building the confidence to skate themselves. The penguin, polar bear and car helpers were useful tools to help with balance. Everyone had plenty of fun.
The ice skating session also included disco lights, music, and some games. All students had an amazing time and there were big smiles all round. Everyone enjoyed the opportunity to interact and form new friendships.
Darwin High School would like to thank the Northern Territory Government for supporting the excursion via an International Student Wellbeing Grant.
A big thank you to DHS staff Mr Andreae, Mrs Burton for their time and support.
