International Cadet First Aid Competitions

International Cadet First Aid Competitions

Year 10 student Hayley McLaughlin recently competed in the Brigade Centenary International Cadet Camp 2016 in Hong Kong. The camp tests national teams from all over the world in a range of individual and team First Aid scenarios. The Australian team was the youngest out of all 11 countries to be competing; and finished second overall with New Zealand taking out the top rank. Hayley says ‘The hardest part about the competitions was we had to learn Hong Kong first aid, it is completely different to Australian first aid!’ Hayley qualified for the camp after winning both the Territory and National St John Ambulance Cadets competitions.
