International Guests
Last week Darwin High School welcomed a group of twenty Indonesian students and five teachers from the Tanimbar Islands in Indonesia.
The group spent two mornings on campus touring the school’s facilities and spending time with our students and teachers. On Tuesday they had the opportunity to join one of our Year 10 Dance classes, where they performed their traditional yak-yakit dance. Then they enjoyed some performances by the Darwin High students, before all coming together for a dance workshop.
On Thursday the group returned to Darwin High School and this time interacted with our language students, studying Indonesian. It was a fantastic opportunity for our students to practise their language skills.
