Italy Study Tour Fundraising: Celebrating Success and Adventures Ahead!

Buongiorno Darwin High School Community,
We are excited to share the fantastic outcome of our recent fundraising efforts for the Italy Study Tour. With the conclusion of fundraising activities by our Italian students and staff, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to our students, parents, teachers, and the broader community for their immense support. I personally would like to commend our Italian students for their dedication and hard work over the past year. Additionally, I want to extend a special acknowledgment to Liam Phillips, whose contributions towards our fundraising has played a significant role in our journey towards our overseas endeavour.
Our third trivia night, hosted at the Italian Club during Week 5 of Term 2, was a tremendous success. It not only showcased the incredible generosity of our community but also highlighted the diverse talents and knowledge of our participants.But it wasn’t just about testing our knowledge; we sprinkled in some fun games too. Heads and Tails, the Price is Right, and even some intense rounds of Paper, Scissors, Rock kept the energy high and the laughter rolling. The venue was buzzing with excitement as our community came together to support our cause. We extend sincere thanks to the Italian Club for graciously providing their fantastic venue, and to their staff whose support was instrumental in making the event a success. Guests also enjoyed a selection of Italian cuisine, enhancing the overall Italian experience.
We're also immensely grateful to the local businesses that have generously supported our cause. City Cove Darwin, Allora Gardens Nursery, Eunoia Lane, CDC Northern Territory, Dukes Café and Eatery, Darwin Trailor Boat Club, Mindil Beach Casino Resort, Litchfield Park Adventures, and Darwin Harbour Fishing Charters contributed fantastic prizes for our raffles, silent auction, and games, adding excitement to our fundraising efforts.
We would also like to extend a heartfelt shoutout to Samantha Deacon for her invaluable contribution to our trivia night initiative. It was Samantha who first introduced the idea to us, and her unwavering support has been instrumental every step of the way. Thank you, Samantha, for your encouragement and enthusiasm!
Thank you once again to everyone who played a part in making these events successful and for supporting the Italian students and staff at Darwin High School. Stay tuned for our adventures to Italy!
