Italy Study Tour Trivia Fundraising Night: A Night of Fun, Community, and Gratitude
We are delighted to share the resounding success of our recent Italy Study Tour Trivia Fundraising Night, an evening that not only brought us closer to our dream of exploring Italy but also showcased the incredible support and generosity of our students, parents, teachers, and community. With questions spanning from a variety of topics, participants put their thinking caps on and demonstrated their knowledge.
Our Trivia Night, held at the wonderful Darwin Ski Club during Week 10 of Term 3, was a memorable occasion filled with laughter, camaraderie, and the spirit of giving. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Darwin Ski Club for graciously providing us with their fantastic venue. Nestled against the backdrop of the ocean, the Darwin Ski Club provided our guests with a breathtaking spectacle—a view of Darwin's renowned sunset, gracefully fading into the tranquil waters, making our evening all the more special. Guests also enjoyed a variety of meals served at the venue, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the event.
In addition to the fantastic venue, we'd like to acknowledge the outstanding support we received from our local businesses. Several companies generously donated prizes for our raffle and silent auction. Their contributions added an exciting element to our fundraising efforts and encouraged enthusiastic participation. We extend our sincere appreciation to the Education Minister Eva Lawler, Eunoia Lane, CDC Northern Territory, Litchfield Park Adventures, Darwin Harbour Fishing Charters, and Allora Gardens Nursery for their generosity.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, participated, and contributed to this event. With the funds raised from our Trivia Night (roughly $2200), we are one step closer to making our Italy Study Tour dreams a reality. This incredible journey promises to be a transformative experience for our students as they immerse themselves in the language, culture, history, and beauty of Italy and it wouldn't have been possible without the support and contributions of our community.
It's worth mentioning the incredible dedication of our Italian class students and staff who worked tirelessly to make this fundraising night a reality. Throughout Term 3, they also hosted bake sales every Monday at lunchtime, providing sweet treats for the school community. In addition to these bake sales, they organized an unforgettable sausage sizzle with the support of Woolworths and Coles. Their hard work and commitment have been instrumental in reaching our fundraising goals. We will be holding another Fundraising Trivia Night on the 30th of November, so keep an eye out for more information. We hope to see you all there!
As we look ahead to the Italy Study Tour, we will continue to update you on our progress and share the adventures that lie ahead.
Thank you once again for being an integral part of this journey.
