Jingili Primary School Science Expo

Jingili Primary School Science Expo

Last week four Darwin High School Year 10 students visited Jingili Primary School to participate in their Science Expo.

Thia Thai, Sascha Duffy, Brandon Ting and Nathan Lee demonstrated their outstanding leadership skills by presenting Science activities to students from Transition to Year 6.

The Darwin High students presented ideas that stemmed around static electricity and forces. Their activity asked the Jingili Primary students if they could break a ruler using one hand and a piece of paper. Next, they used wool, balloons, polystyrene balls and hair to demonstrate static electricity.

Darwin High School teacher Katie Gregory said

They did a fantastic job of engaging the audience and helping them with the activities.

Thank you to Jingili Primary School for the invitation to attend and also Mr and Mrs Rivas for such a well organised and fun event.
