Jingili Primary School Science Expo

Jingili Primary School Science Expo

On Wednesday 2 August four Year 11 Darwin High School students, Shah Zaib, Andreas D'Arrigo, Atif Saeed and Shazil Malik attended the Jingili Primary School for their annual Science Expo.

This theme for this year's expo was based around the physical sciences. Our students demonstrated forces and motion, and helped the Jingili students to design their own balloon rockets which they were then able to race across the sandpit.

The primary school students engineered their rockets with variable wing shapes, cones and balloon sizes to determine what combination would help their rocket go the fastest.

Overall, our students had a great but tiring time leading the primary school students in their investigations.
