Language through Music
This month, The Indonesian Consulate held an Angklung workshop for schools in Darwin and on Thursday 8 November some of our Indonesian Language students had the opportunity to explore language through music.
Mr. Moch Reiza Ghazalie, an experienced Angklung teacher from Bandung, West Java, showed Stage 1 Indonesian classes how to play this bamboo musical instrument set. At the end of the workshop, the classes are able to produce an amazing harmonious sound when they play songs such as Advance Australia Fair, Can’t Help Falling in Love with You, Happy Birthday and I’m Yours.
Darwin High School thanks Mr Moch Reiza Ghazalie and the Indonesian Consulate for their continued support of our Indonesian Language program.
