Legal Studies Students Step Up

Legal Studies Students Step Up

On Thursday 25 March, Ms Leppit's Year 11 Legal Studies class attended an excursion to Parliament House where they undertook a voting session, a tour of the building, and sat in the Chamber to listen to Parliament in action.

The group was lucky enough to meet and chat with four different Members of Parliament. This excursion is part of the Step Up and Be Heard program.

After spending time in class drafting a Bill and writing speeches, students will return to Parliament House to debate their Bill in the Chamber. We are very grateful for this opportunity provided by Parliamentary Education Services.
