Monaro High School Visit

Monaro High School Visit

By teacher Steve McGugan

Darwin High School became a part of Monaro High Schools Top End experience last week when two basketball games were played in the Tank cheered on by a healthy crowd of student supporters.

The NSW school from the town of Cooma made the trip with a keen group boys and girls and experience Darwin’s Dawn Service of Anzac Day before heading to Katherine and Kakadu.

Monaro played games against Katherine HS, Palmerston SC and Palmerston Power before playing Darwin High School. Students and teachers witnessed two very good games with high level skills and team work with Darwin HS winning both girls and boys games.

Congratulations to all the students who were involved and thank you Mr McGugan for organising the event!
