Moran Photographic Prize Finalists
Five Darwin High School students have been selected as finalists for the Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize (MCPP).
The Moran Foundation selects just twenty-five students from the semi-finalists as finalists.
Principal, Jill Hazeldine said that
It is a notable achievement for five of those 25 finalists being from our school, and it is great recognition of the fantastic talent of our students and the quality of the schools photography program.
The MCPP is a national competition that awards and promotes Australian contemporary photographic excellence in all forms of still, photo based artwork. Students were invited to interpret ‘Contemporary Life in Australia’ with an emphasis on Australians going about their day-to-day life through their photograph entries.
The finalists have a chance to win $5000 for themselves and $5000 for their school art program.
