NAIDOC Mural

NAIDOC Mural

Work has commenced on an exciting new project at Darwin High School which will see a mural installed near the STEAM Building.

A collaborative project between the 'House of Darwin', local Larrakia artist Jason Lee and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Darwin High School students as part of the school's 2022 NAIDOC celebrations.

Last week the group met for a creative workshop to begin the design process. The students' designs will be incorporated into the mural and the workshop was a huge success.

Special mention to DHS Aboriginal and Islander Education Worker Mr. Kelly and Art teachers Ms. Campbell-McQuillan and Ms. Johnstone for organising the workshop.

We look forward to sharing further updates as the project progresses!
