National Delegates for Schools Constitutional Convention

National Delegates for Schools Constitutional Convention

Darwin High School students Georgia Glover and Liam Harwood have been selected along with around 120 other Year 11 and 12 students from across Australia to travel to Canberra next year.

As national delegates, Georgia and Liam were selected from around 1,000 students from government, independent and Catholic schools, many of whom participated in their state or territory Conventions.

The National Schools Constitutional Convention event aims to promote understanding among young Australians about the Constitution and systems of government. The theme of next year’s convention is Federalism: the Constitution and Australia’s Water.

Congratulations Georgia and Liam, we look forward to hearing all about this fantastic experience.
