NT Board of Studies Awards

Darwin High School staff and Board wish to congratulate all of our Year 12 students on their outstanding results in 2023. Many of these outstanding results were recognised at the NT Board of Studies Awards on Friday 2 February at Parliament House.

In addition to acknowledging the 9 Darwin High School students in the NT Top 20 and 31 Merit Awards, there were also a number of special awards given.

Congratulations to the following Class of 2023 Darwin High School graduates:

  • Chief Minister’s Award for Most Outstanding Stage 2 student- Hussain Al-Ibrahim
  • Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Physics award- Hussain Al-Ibrahim
  • Australian Veterinary Association Dennis Thompson Memorial Award for Science- Hussain Al-Ibrahim
  • Department of Treasury and Finance Accounting Award- Grace Nice
  • Department of Treasury and Finance Mathematics Award- Abbi Tastula
  • Language Teachers’ Association of the NT Languages award- Naomi Jia
  • Mathematics Teachers’ Association of the NT Vic Czernezkyj Mathematics Award- Hussain Al-Ibrahim and Senaru Herath
  • Rotary Club of Darwin Iain Smith Award for History- Phoebe Wiltshire
  • Royal Australian Chemical Institute Chemistry Award- Hussain Al-Ibrahim
