NT Board of Studies Awards

Darwin High School staff and Board wish to congratulate all of our Year 12 students on their outstanding results in 2016. Many of these outstanding results were recognised at the NT Board of Studies Awards on Friday 10 February at Parliament House.

Congratulations to the following Class of 2016 Darwin High School graduates:

Aaron Berthon: Mathematics Teachers Association of the NT Vic Czerneskyj Mathematics Award, the Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society Physics Award, a Top 10 ATAR Award, a Top 20 NTCET Students Award, the Most Outstanding Stage 2 NTCET Student of 2016 Award and Certificates of Merit in Mathematical Studies and Physics.

Rachel Park: Menzies School of Health Research Biology Award, the Australian Veterinary Association (NT Division) Dennis Thomson Memorial Science Award, a Top Twenty NTCET Students Award and a Certificate of Merit in Biology.

Marcus Valastro for winning the Charles Darwin University Top Indigenous ATAR Award and the Most Outstanding Stage 2 NTCET Indigenous Student of 2016 Award.

Douglas Lee on winning the Ian Macgregor Rotary Award for English Studies.

Eddie Gardiner for winning the Iain Smith Rotary Award for History.

Annelies Kersemakers on winning the International Association of Hydrogeoligists (NT Branch) Geography Award.

Lucy Quinlin for winning the Law Society NT Award for Legal Studies

Nisangi Wijesinghe on winning the NT Music School Music Award.

Jack Davis for a Certificate of Merit in Women’s Studies and a Top Twenty NTCET Students Award.

Congratulations also to Darwin High School students Franjesca Cercarelli, Deanna Chin, Leon Danicic, Tully Hemsley, Lana Laureles, Douglas Lee, Max Oliphant-Hand, and Natarsha Whelan on their Certificates of Merit and Ritwik Dasgupta, Marianna Diamandopoulos, Joel Jettner, Themelina Roditis and Emily Stephenson for their Top Twenty NTCET Students Awards.

Finally, congratulations also to Year 11 Darwin High School student Olivia Harding for winning the NT Board of Studies Year 11 VET Award.
