NT Youth Peak Group
This week saw the first meeting of the NT Youth Voice Peak Group in Darwin. Two Darwin High School students, Year 10 student Wil Gowand year 11 student Amy Tinsley were selected to represent the school late last year.
The students were able to come together as a group for a two day workshop, to narrow their focus on what they will and won’t provide advice on over the year, and develop and refine their consultation toolkit which they will use to provide feedback on two priority policy pieces for the Department.
The group also met with the Honourable Eva Lawler, MLA and Minister for Education.
