The NTPFES Cadetship program runs over two years. Students apply for entry in Year 10 and undertake the program during Years 11 and 12. They attend training two days a week and are required to also undertake two block training weeks each term. It is a significant commitment for both the student and their families.

Nathan joined Squad 2 in 2016. It was the first time the program was open to all Darwin students. In 2018 the Cadetship will also be offer in Alice Springs.

As part of the program, Nathan has completed a Cert II in Community Engagement and a Cert III in Business. He has also participated in various community services activities, including fund raising and volunteering at events.

Darwin High currently has three Year 11 students in Squad 3 and four Year 10 students who have successfully gained a place the in the program in 2018.

Nathan’s goal is to join the Fire Brigade. We wish Nathan all the best for the future.
