OzClo

OzClo

On Wednesday March 13, Darwin High School language students participated in the regional round of the Australian Computational Linguistics Olympiad (OzClo).

The OzClo contest is held in two rounds. The First Round is a two-hour competition and students had to work in teams of four on a range of language analysis problems. The top three teams of Senior and Junior for each region then go on to the National Round, which has the same format as the First Round.

This year forty-three Darwin High School students in eleven teams volunteered their time to participate in the First Round. Two senior and one junior teams have made to the National Round at CDU on Wednesday March 27.

Darwin High School congratulates all the students who took part!

Special congratulations to the junior team: Olivia Anderson, Aydar Zarifullin and Steve Binu. They scored the highest of all the NT teams in the national round.
