Remembrance Day 2020

Darwin High School students have continued the School’s longstanding tradition of participating in the annual Remembrance Day ceremony at the Darwin Cenotaph on Wednesday 11 November.
Wednesday 11 November 2020 marked the 102nd anniversary of the Armistice, which ended the First World War (1914-18). Australians observe one minute’s silence at 11 am, in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts and appreciation of their sacrifice.
Year 10 students Rebecca Huxtable, Pal Patel, Joshua Ruhl and Tahlia Verry with Year 11 students Jemma Beyer and Year 12 students Liam Harwood, Hajrah Kamran, Haylei Whitehead and Nuhansi WIjesinghe represented Darwin High School at the annual Remembrance Day Service at the Cenotaph.
The students received many compliments on their efforts from important people on their presentation and demeanour. The students were great ambassadors for Darwin High School and should feel very proud of their efforts supporting the Darwin RSL Remembrance Day Commemoration.
