School Wide Instructional Model Update

As part of the continuing implementation of the DHS School Wide Instructional Model (SWIM) in 2025, teaching staff are participating in a structured program of Lesson Observations. 

This program supports the SWIM goal of teachers having a shared understanding of how to deliver highly effective teaching and learning to students. The Lesson Observation program has a semester-long cycle, where teachers are paired to observe each other’s practice. So far, teachers are enjoying the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with their colleagues about their practice, which is generating reflection on and improvement in their teaching and learning strategies.
