Second Place at Science and Engineering Challenge

Second Place at Science and Engineering Challenge

On Wednesday 28 April some of our Year 10 Centre for Excellence Science and Mathematics students competed in the Science and Engineering Challenge, hosted by CDU.

The 31 students were divided into teams of four which competed in various challenges including the building of bridges (tested to destruction), remote controlled hovercraft, water turbines, and power dispatch. The quality of the competition was fantastic with strong teams from Darwin Middle, Casuarina and Dripstone.

Whilst Mr Ergos once again proved to be the best cheerleader, Ms Pan’s team from Darwin Middle School overtook us by just 20 points in the final count.
