SIEU Celebrate Harmony Week

SIEU Celebrate Harmony Week

By Intensive English Unit Senior Teacher, Sonya Batten

The SIEU held a Celebration Concert on Harmony Day, Tuesday 21 March, to celebrate diversity and our learning from each other. Currently, the SIEU has students from 12 different countries!

The concert featured many student performances including a cultural dress parade, singing, African dancing, and a traditional ‘Tamasha’ from Pakistan. Students were also awarded for displaying the new school values of Creativity, Respect, Achievement and Diversity, both inside and outside the classroom.

It was a wonderful coming-together to celebrate all cultures and our new learnings at Darwin High School.

Thank you to students Zainab Nazari and Rama Wisuda for compering this special event.
