Sizzling Success and Quiz Master Triumphs

Dear Darwin High School Community,
We are thrilled to share the success of our recent fundraising endeavours towards our Study Tour to Italy. The Italian students and staff have wrapped up another fantastic term of fundraising activities, and we couldn't be more grateful for the overwhelming support from our students, parents, teachers, and the broader community.
Our second trivia night, held at the exquisite Silks Darwin during Week 8 of Term 4, was a resounding success. The evening was not only a testament to the incredible generosity of our community but also a showcase of the hidden talents and knowledge of our participants. Laughter echoed through the venue throughout the trivia rounds and games, creating a lively and friendly competitive atmosphere. Our sincere thanks go to Silks Darwin for graciously providing us with their wonderful venue. The staff’s exceptional support, both leading up to and during the event, contributed significantly to the evening's success. Guests also enjoyed a variety of meals served at the venue, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the event.
We also want to extend our gratitude to local businesses that generously supported our cause. Litchfield Park Adventures, Darwin Harbour Fishing Charters, Crocodylus Park, and Crocosaurus Cove contributed fantastic prizes for our raffle, adding excitement to our fundraising efforts. Their generosity is truly appreciated.
In addition to the trivia night, we want to acknowledge Tony and the team at Bunnings for offering our students the opportunity to organize a sausage sizzle and bake sale at their Darwin store. Their commitment to the community is commendable, and we are proud to announce that the event raised approximately $2700. A special thanks also to Woolworths and the honourable Natasha Fyles MLA for their generous donations, which greatly enhanced the success of our fundraising efforts.
