9 holes, on par and a bogey
Our Stage 1 Physical Education classes were fortunate enough to visit Darwin Golf Club to play 9 holes of golf on Wednesday 8 of September.

It did not take long for students to realise that trying to 'hit the ball as hard as they could' may not be the best approach and they may need to try and hit it accurately rather than going for distance. All students returned to school with a story of 'the shot that won the hole', 'the shot that almost hit another group', 'the shot that they are still trying to find .... where did it go?' or 'the shot that demonstrated their improvement throughout the day'. Overall it was a great experience for students to consolidate their learning.
A huge thank you to Peter Hargraves from Golf NT for his organisation of the event, the golf club members who volunteered their time to support students and Darwin Golf club themselves for giving students this amazing opportunity.
