Students star at Languages Competition

On Saturday 31 August six Indonesian Language students from Darwin High School participated in a Languages Speaking Competition organised by the Language Teachers Association of the NT.

Year 10 students, Logapriya Selvam, Evelyn Rionata, Brooke Henry and Joahna Cabangon entered the Year 10 Division, with Brooke taking out first place with her speech about the importance of learning a foreign language.

In the Year 11 & 12 Open Division, Stage 2 Beginner Indonesian students, Manoj Rajkumar and Ananyaa Devanathan competed. Ananyaa’s speech was about her life in 20 years-time. It was a very entertaining and engaging presentation. She won first prize and Manoj came third.

Congratulations to all students involved. Excellent effort.
