Students shortlisted for John Bell Scholarship

Students shortlisted for John Bell Scholarship

This year Shakespeare artists auditioned students from around the country, working with each student on their chosen Shakespeare monologue, via online and in-person auditions.

All auditioning students worked one-on-one on their pieces with Bell Shakespeare artists and had the opportunity to workshop their chosen text and character, discuss their performance ambitions, and receive feedback on their work.

DHS is excited to announce that two Sage 1 drama students, Matteo Bonson and Ryan Patricks have been shortlisted for 2022 in a list of 18 other students from around the country. Matteo and Ryan will now submit a video of their performance to be reviewed by the John Bell Scholarship judging panel, including Founding Artistic Director John Bell and Artistic Director Peter Evans.

The winners of the John Bell Scholarship for 2022 will be announced Friday 10 December. Best of luck to Matteo and Ryan!
