Territory History with Ted Egan AO

Territory History with Ted Egan AO

On Thursday 29 October Ms Parkers Year 10 History class welcomed a visit from Ted Eagan AO.

The Australian folk musician and former Administrator of the Northern Territory from 2003 - 2007 spent an hour with the Year 10 students discussing local Darwin history, with a particular focus on Aboriginal rights and land rights in the Northern Territory.

Each student received a copy of his new book and spent some time reading and looking at the historical photographs included in the book. They even managed to find and identify an almost 100-year-old photograph of our very our Tank!

Darwin High School would like to thank Mr Egan for his time and for providing such a wonderful opportunity for Ms Parker and her students.
