Track and Field

Track and Field

Darwin High School sent a small contingent of athletes to the annual Darwin Region School Sports Track and Field competition on Wednesday 9 August.

This interschool sport event gives students the opportunity to be selected for the Darwin Region team to compete in the NT Track and Field Championships in September.

Teacher, Carolyn Knutsen said

All the Darwin High students represented the school really well, participated in a very sporting manner and provided a positive addition to the carnival.

The Darwin High team included students Sam Wright who recorded a new 800 meter competition record, Andre Price-Quinter, Ben Harris, Luka Vlahvic, Gibson Bailey, Liam Mentor, Evans Otengsa, Simon Unzi and Steven Anzo.

Congratulations to everyone involved and special mention to Sam Wright and Stephen Anzo who were selected to go onto the NT Track and Field Championships next month.
