Transition Taster

Last term Darwin High welcomed students from our feeder middle schools for a ‘taster’ of the many subjects on offer should they enrol with us next year. Students from Darwin Middle School, Nightcliff Middle School and the Sanderson Middle School Secondary Intensive English Unit visited for the morning as part of our annual transition program.

Students spent the morning meeting key staff, touring our facilities and seeing first-hand the amazing variety of subjects on offer. Feedback from the middle schoolers was positive, with many commenting that they enjoyed their time at Darwin High and can’t wait to commence senior school here next year.

Thank you to the staff who made the experience engaging and to the following Year 10 students who provided help as tour guides:

Later in the year middle school students will return to spend a full day at Darwin High, visiting their actual classes for 2018.
