Valentine's Day with our SRC

Students from the SRC hit the ground running this year with their first hosted event……. Valentines Day!

Orders were placed on Friday 10 February for delivery on the day or collection. Almost 150 orders were placed! Based on these orders 400 cookies were purchased. It seems like there are some real sweethearts here at Darwin High School, or at least some very generous people.

Our PINK Gorilla Mascot, guided by our SRC Students delivered these surprise gifts to Valentines all over the school in lessons 3 and 4 on Tuesday. The looks of sheer surprise (and sometimes embarrassment) were priceless!

The remaining 100 cookies were snapped up at the SRC lunch time stall. Clearly a very popular event amongst students and a huge success story for the SRC.

Free home internet for school students and families

To support eligible families in accessing free internet via the Australian Governments School Student Broadband Initiative (SSBI), we are again seeking assistance from schools and principals to share key information about the initiative with their families.
