VET Auto Skill Set Course

VET Auto Skill Set Course

Year 10 student Billy Bennett and Year 11 student Louise Ricafort are currently completing a VET Auto Skill Set course.

These units of competency cover’s the skills and knowledge required to safely carry out basic light vehicle tyre repair and fitting and welding for the automotive service and repair streams. While it is not a full certificate, the units completed are from Nationally Accredited Training Packages and can be recognised as a credit transfer towards further study in this field.

On completion these qualifications could help the students gain an apprenticeship as a tyre fitter or welder.

Billy and Louise attend Auto Workshop once a week to complete the course.

For more information on VET course options in 2021 contact our VET Coordinator, Jodie Waters.
