Weekend of Dance

Happy Friday Everyone! A friendly reminder that this weekend the DHS Tank and stage will come to life with a feast of extraordinary dance events. Two very different large scale performance events – Dance22 tonight (3^rd June @ 6.30PM) and FORMULA on Saturday 4^th and Sunday 5^th June @ 6.30PM - please share with friends, family, dance studios, and fellow Darwin dance enthusiasts.

Tonight Darwin High School dance students will take to the stage for our annual Fundraising Event, Dance22. This is a fun and entertaining DHS School and Community Event.

Dance22 celebrates the DHS Dance Departments' twelfth year of celebrating Dance not just here at DHS but within our diverse and dynamic D-Town community. You will be thrown into an inspiring mixing bowl and experience the hearts and minds of all the performers speaking through their bodies. Some of the performers will be stepping out onto the stage for the first time whilst others are avid performers, and although the styles of dance they study might look different the one commonality they all share is their passion to experience Dance.

Then GET READY for MORE Dance with FORMULA – two short new works created by Joanna Noonan and Jordan Bretherton with the DHS Stage 2 Creative Arts Dance Team. Noonan explores the Formula of Love and why we fall for certain types of people, whilst Bretherton explores the Formula of Colours creating a vision of mathematical precision and beauty. FORMULA will take you on a fun and insightful dance experience that will introduce you to how the formula of Dance is contributing to the world around us.
