Wellbeing Week

Wellbeing Week

As part of NT Youth Week, Darwin High School Stage 2 Health and Wellbeing students hosted a Wellbeing Week with a range of fun activities in weeks 9 and 10 of this term.

Launching last Thursday in the Tank, the students ran activities around campus over 5 days at lunchtime, including Handball, Tug ‘O War, and Speed Stacking competitions, making friendship bracelets, phone straps, and stress balls, plant pot painting, and partner drawing just to name a few.

We also had some guest instructors joining us as well, including Aly de Groot (banana fibre bracelets), Corrugated Iron (circus skills), Hyper the Clown (Laughter Therapy) and Two Two One Mental Health Charity (Bongo drumming).

Darwin High School would like to thank the NT Government, Office of Youth Affairs and NT Youth Week for supporting the event.

Well done to the students for planning, promoting, and implementing a wonderful event. Special mention to teachers Mr Symons and Ms Knutsen for all their hard work in ensuring the event was a success.
