Women's Health Week

Women's Health Week

Last week, Darwin High School students participated in Women’s Health Week Activities.

On Tuesday 5 September Year 10 HOE girls have the opportunity to visit Fernwood Fitness and take part in a class and get shown around the gym. Other activities were also held on campus with female students invited to play indoor soccer, volleyball and table tennis, indoor cricket, tennis and badminton at lunchtime.

The Jean Hailes Women’s Health Week is a week dedicated to all women across Australia to make good health a priority. The aim on Women’s Health Week is to encourage women to put themselves first and start making positive changes to their health.

In 2013, Jean Hailes for Women's Health ran the very first national Women’s Health Week. Now in its 6th year, Women's Health Week is the time to put yourself first and get talking about women's health. The event provides health information and free resources and clinical care to assist them to actively manage their own health and wellbeing.
