World Teachers' Day with our SRC

World Teachers' Day with our SRC

On Friday 25 October the DHS SRC and student body celebrated World Teacher’s Day. The below message was announced over the loudspeaker before recess by a SRC representative:

I am a member of the DHS SRC and I am speaking on behalf of all DHS students. Today, we celebrate our great teachers who engrave something in our minds, hearts, and futures.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish a very happy World Teachers’ Day to all teachers here at Darwin High. We appreciate your time, commitment, and the knowledge you give us. It is your guidance beyond classroom walls that enable us to know who we are and who we want to be.

Students also delivered thank you notes and chocolates to staff and ensured everyone felt appreciated.

At lunchtime, the SRC hosted a stall where students wrote messages to teachers, which were displayed on an appreciation board.

We hope all teachers had a fantastic day.
