World's Greatest Shave
On Friday 24 May Darwin High School held a World's Greatest Shave event at lunchtime in B covered way, fundraising for the Leukaemia Foundation to help beat blood cancer.
This year the event was led by Year 11 student Cossette Tonga as part of her Stage 2 Community Studies Project. Special mention goes to the 5 incredible students who shaved their heads Antonios Iliou, Jessica Cavanagh, Joseph Laurie, Flynn Denson and Joel Durrheim. While other students coloured their hair or just made a donation. Finally, a big shout out to the following staff for their valuable assistance: Ms Redwood, Ms Gerakios, Ms Bryett and Mr Dalgleish.
With the help of our generous school community, we were able to raise $318 in under an hour! Congratulations everyone.
