Year 12 Students Enjoy a Well-Earned Break with 8 Ball Fun Day
As we reach the midpoint of Term 2, the year is moving quickly — especially for our Year 12 students, who are deep into final assessments and preparing for upcoming exams. In recognition of the pressures of their final year, Officer Sue hosted an 8 Ball Fun Day on Monday 19 May, offering students a much-needed mental break during their study lines.
Held on the mezzanine level of The Tank, the event invited students to take a short pause from their studies and enjoy a few friendly rounds of pool with their peers. It was a relaxed and light-hearted opportunity to de-stress and connect with friends — all while maintaining a healthy balance between study and wellbeing.

A highlight of the day was a spirited game between Principal Joe Hewett and Officer Sue. In a close match, Mr Hewett claimed victory — though Officer Sue impressed everyone, including herself, with a few unexpected trick shots!
Thank you to Officer Sue for organising this thoughtful and fun initiative to support our senior students during this busy time. It was a timely reminder that taking care of one’s mental health is just as important as academic preparation.
