Youth Voice Peak Group

Youth Voice Peak Group

Darwin High School students Amy Tinsley and Wil Gow continue their work with the Department of Education Youth Voice Peak Group.

The Youth Voice Peak group met over two days last month in Darwin where six of its members sat on a student voice panel where they shared their work, passions, and ideas with over 300 school and system leaders in the Territory. The Group members also had the chance to re- connect and discuss the different initiatives they have been involved since the May meeting, like attending Garma festival, sharing survey data they have collated with their school leadership teams, attending National Student Voice meetings, meeting federal Education Minister, Minister Jason Clare…. The list goes on!

The group also spent time getting updates from the NT Secondary Education Review and the Statement of Commitment, discussed our plans for the term 4 meeting and undertook a session with Adam Drake from Balanced Choice on finding the balance between work, school and life.
