DHS Dance Returns to the Stage

​The Darwin High School Dance Department is preparing for its first performance for 2021 with Kaleidoscope, a new work created by the Stage 2 Creative Arts Dance students with professional mentors Joanna Noonan and DHS Alumni Jordan Bretherton.

Legal Studies Students Step Up

On Thursday 25 March, Ms Leppit's Year 11 Legal Studies class attended an excursion to Parliament House where they undertook a voting session, a tour of the building, and sat in the Chamber to listen to Parliament in action.

Meningococcal B vaccine

​Our school will be involved in the B Part of It NT, a study of the meningococcal B vaccine. All 14-19 year olds in the NT can take part.

Curious Minds

Curious Minds is a program aimed at encouraging and engaging girls in STEM. It is organised by the Australian Science Innovations and is a six-month program that combines two residential camps and a STEM mentoring program.

Bombing of Darwin Commemoration

​Wednesday 19 February 2021 marked the 79th anniversary of the bombing of Darwin. Darwin High School has a longstanding tradition of involvement with this event and this year 17 students attended the Commemoration Service at the Cenotaph.

Oval Upgrade Complete

Over the end of year break the $2.4 million landscaping upgrade to the oval was completed and we now have a full size oval with enough space for AFL, touch football and soccer, as well as new seating areas and a covered walkway from our campus right through to Darwin Middle School.
